The ideal total alkalinity level for swimming pools is between 80-150mg/l (ppm). When the total alkalinity level rises above 150mg/l (ppm), the water can be scale forming and the pH difficult to change. TA Minus is used to lower the total alkalinity level.
Application Instructions:
- Check total alkalinity level using a test kit, and if above 150 mg/l (ppm), use the dosing table on the label to calculate the quantity of TA Minus required. If large quantities are needed, it is recommended that the total addition should be carried out in stages with at least 24 hours between applications. Test total alkalinity between each application and adjust dosage quantites if necessary.
- For best results, this product should be 'slug' dosed into the deep end of the pool with the filtration system running. Care must be taken when 'slug' dosing to ensure that you don't get splashed with the product.
- After each application leave the pool for at least 8 hours, then check pH level and if necessary adjust to the ideal range of 7.2-7.6 before the next application.
- It is recommended that this product should only be handled while wearing gloves, goggles and respiratory mask. It should be handled with care at all times.
