200g Multifunctional Chlorine Tablets are an advanced formula for chlorination and clarification. They provide an easy way to maintain chlorine levels in your swimming pool. They are specially formulated to prevent bacteria growth, discourage algae, provide continuous clarification, stabilise against chlorine loss to sunlight and reduce the amount of chlorine consumed. They are generally designed for pools with around a 10,000 gallon capacity. However, they can be used for smaller pools with a floating dispenser, providing that the water is tested regularly. If you have a smaller pool, you may need to add one tablet to your dispenser, wait until it is part dissolved, then remove the dispenser and test the water to ensure that the pool is not overdosed.
Application Instructions
- Always maintain pH level within the range 7.2 - 7.6. If the pH level is outside the ideal range, this will need to be adjusted before proceeding.
- Before applying this product, the chlorine level in your pool must be between 1-3 mg/l (ppm). If your chlorine level is below this, then shock dose the pool using Sunspot Granular Shock.
- This product can be applied using a skimmer (not recommended on any pools with heating devices unless the filtration system is running continuously), a floating dispenser (we sell these separately) or a chlorine feeder application.
- If you use a floating dispenser, fill the dispenser with the tablets and regulate dose rate with the mechanism on the dispenser or by varying the quantity of tablets in the dispenser to maintain a chlorine level of 1 - 3 mg/l (ppm).
- Never place the tablets in direct contact with the pool surface and do not add through any of the above devices if they contain any other products. If other materials have been used previously, wash the feeder thoroughly before adding these tablets.
