This highly concentrated copper-free winter algaecide will help prevent the multiplication of most types of algae during the winter. This product is compatible with chlorine, bromine and baquacil treated pools. Please note that we recommend that you empty and store our above ground pools during the winter months - this chemical is generally designed for inground pools only.
Application Instructions:
- For best results, it is recommended that this product is not used until the pool water temperature drops to 10 degrees or lower.
- Ensure that the pool water is clear and free from algae before applying this product.
- Adjust pH level within the range 7.5 - 7.8.
- Shock dose the pool using granular shock to achieve a chlorine level of between 5 and 10 mg/l (ppm).
- Add this product directly to the pool near the returning water inlets with the filtration system running - for dose rates see the table below.
- Where possible, allow the filtration system to run for at least 8 hours after application to ensure that the product is well distributed thoughout the pool.
- Periodically during the winter, it is advisable to check the disinfection level and if it is low, shock dose to increase it. This is particularly recommended in early spring as the air and water temperatures begin to rise.
