This concentrated product will kill and prevent algae. It is effective against green, black and mustard strains of algae.
Application Instructions for Algae Destruction:
- Always maintain pH level within the range 7.2 - 7.6. If the pH level is outside the ideal range, please adjust before proceeding.
- Vacuum all leaves and debris from the pool floor.
- Thoroughly brush pool walls and floor to get the algae into suspension within the pool water.
- Shock dose the pool using Granular Shock
- Apply Super Algaecide directly to the pool near the returning water inlets with the filtration system running. For dose rate, see below.
- Keep filtration system running continuously until the pool clears.
- Test the chlorine level after 24 hours and if it has dropped substantially, repeat the shock dose.
- Brush the pool walls and floor every 24 hours.
In cases of severe algae growth, the above procedure may need to repeated after 2-4 days.
