Stormsure is the best product that we have found for flexible waterproof repairs to swimming pools. It is abrasion resistant and will repair worn creases and small rips/holes in natural and man-made fabrics (including nylon, neoprene, rubber, leather, fibreglass, wood, metals, PVC, Polyurethane and most plastics). It will operate from -50° to 200°C and will not crack at low temperatures. Stormsure can set in wet conditons as long as it is not under pressure. It is not as effective on the inflatable ring or underneath of a pool as on other parts, but we still recommend that you try it first.
Stormsure makes watertight repairs to inflatable pools, boats and toys, waterproof clothing, boots, waders, shoes, worn trainers, wetsuits, water and snow skis, tents, umbrellas, groundsheets, leather tack, horse blankets and thousands of other items.
Directions:
Clean off mud and dirt from the damaged area with soap and water. Then clean well with a chemical cleaner such as acetone (nail varnish remover) or methylated spirit. Apply Stormsure directly to the area, allowing an extra 5mm around the damaged area. Keep flat and allow to cure. Stormsure is touch dry in 2-4 hours. Allow 10-12 hours for full cure.
Holes:
Cover the back of a hole with sticky tape or a heavy duty repair patch. Apply Stormsure on the other side - cover the tape and overlap the edge of the hole by 10mm. Remove the tape after 12 hours.
Stormcure is also available separately. This accelerates the drying process (if mixed with Stormsure, it typically takes around 2 hours for a repair to dry instead of 12 hours). Stormcure also acts as a pre-cleaner and primer.
