Gold solar covers float on the surface of the pool water to provide exceptional heat retention. They are 500 micron thick with a blue top and a gold underside. They can increase the heat of your pool by up to 18.5%.
The use of a solar cover on your swimming pool results in a warmer pool that requires less chemical treatment. During the day, the suns' heat rays will pass through the blue top sheet, and will then be reflected back into the pool by the underside of the cover, retaining heat (in much the same way as the 'greenhouse effect'). The cover also reduces evaporation loss and helps to retain heat at night by acting as an insulation barrier.
Please select the size you require from the list below. Please note that the cover sizes are smaller for inflatable pools. This is because the surface area of the top of the inflatable pools is less than the stated pool size. There will also be a small gap between the cover and the edge of the pool.
If you buy a solar cover in conjunction with a debris cover, we recommend that you use the solar cover during the day and the debris cover during the night and if the weather is bad or windy. Do not place the debris cover over the top or underneath the solar cover, as the solar cover will not work.
The covers are designed to float on the surface of the pool water with a small gap around the edge. The covers for inflatable pools measure less than the covers for frame pools, as the surface area at the top of Bestway inflatable pools is approximately a foot less than than the stated pool size (due to the inflatable ring at the top. If you have an inflatable pool of a different brand, the surface area is likely to be different.
