Novice Trampoline Moves and Tricks
Straight Jump
This trampoline move is rather self-explanatory. You jump up in the air and land back on the trampoline again.
Tuck Jump
With this trampoline move, the arms come down at the same time as the legs
coming up, so your hands and knees touch. The knee to the toe should be
parallel with the body and the thigh should be horizontal. To perform a
'line-out', the arms should then go down the body, as the tuck is
'kicked-out'.
Pike Jump
With this trampoline move follow the same instructions as the tucked jump, but
the legs rise straight instead so you form a pointed shape. You should be
aiming to touch below the knees with your upper and lower body parallel. Easier
for gymnasts to perform, but practice makes perfect.
Straddle Jump
This trampoline move is similar to the pike jump; instead the legs come up
straight and wide apart.
Seat Drop
With this trampoline move you start off with a straight jump then you lift your
legs up so you land in a seated position with your legs straight and together.
When landing on the trampoline bed your hands should be slightly behind you so
you can push yourself back up to straighten your body.
