The Ant-O-Sphere is a fabulous futuristic system that allows you to explore the inner workings of an ant colony! It is created by Wild Science, who have produced an award winning range of fun science and nature kits with attitude. The system has been designed by a biologist and interationally renowned educational-product designer, and is suitable for ages 6+.
The Ant-O-Sphere conatins four pods, plus bases and supports that can be linked together to mimic an ant colony. The spheres can be filled with plants, soil or ponds to create a realistic environment. The 'ant transit ports' give options to twist, turn, expand and develop the colony to the user's specifications.
The set includes red pods that allow you to view ants without disturbing them, as they cannot see in the red light spectrum, therefore think that they are working in the dark or underground when in these areas.
