Where did the Jenga game come from? Jenga was designed and created by a British lady called Leslie Scott. In the early 1970s her family played a similar game with children’s building blocks.

Leslie Scott launched the game that she decided to call Jenga at the London Toy Fair in 1983. By 1985 the Jenga game had received considerable marketing to increase distribution. The rights to the Jenga game were later bought by Hasbro, who began licensing the game all over the world.

As far as we know, today over 50 million Jenga games have been sold worldwide, which is around 2.7 billion Jenga blocks!

Due to the huge success of the game, other companies had the idea of making giant wooden versions of the Jenga game and began marketing them for garden use, which has been tremendously popular. Now you can choose from the Hi-Tower, Giant Tower, Mega Tower, Jamanga Tower, and the John Jaques Tumble Towers.
