The Gibbon is a sturdy double-swing pole set made from premium timber. It features thick soft-feel polypropylene swing ropes (10mm diameter) and heavy duty blow-moulded swing seats.
The Gibbon set is much more appealing to adventurous children than the Marmoset, as it includes a thick polypropylene climbing rope (26mm diameter) and rope ladder with 3.5cm diameter hardwood rungs and 10mm polypropylene rope. These extras extend the fun of the swing set to older children.
This set is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified from Mixed Sources. The timber is supplied from well managed forests and other controlled sources. The timber has a 12 year warranty against wood rot and insect damage.
This swing set is designed for residential use for children aged between 3 and 12. The weight guideline is 50kg per child.
Wood is a natural living material - each piece of timber will have grains and knots which vary from set to set. Please note that the timber will naturally react to changes in atmospheric conditions - some splitting may occur as it expands and contracts with changes of humidity and temperature. This is perfectly natural and does not affect the integrity of the set. The set is supplied with metal anchor pegs for extra stability, which require concreting into the ground.
